Welcome  to “Ink & Essence- A Way to Write, a Way to Live:

A Women’s Writing Atelier”

I love sitting in circles of Soul Deep Women. I feel that all of you who are joining this circle embody the Essence of the Soul Deep Woman- a woman of deep sensitivity and connection to self and mother Earth.

So, my goal through this atelier (a French word for workshop) is to take this time together and connect with our own unique Essence– the vibe we bring into the world and the Ink that flows from our pen as narratives that want to be shared, as metaphors that jump out from under emotional sediment and stories that want to be birthed to bring us closer to our own self.

It matters not if you are a seasoned or a beginner writer. Maybe your pen dried up some time ago, when life was hard and pains made a dwelling in your heart. Perhaps now, in retrospect you can tell the story without feeling chocked by the emotions you experienced at that time. Now you are clear-headed and open- hearted to see the events of your life with new eyes to live with reverence, gratitude and forgiveness as a way of being.

The tag line of this atelier is: a way to write, a way to live. Because I believe writing is no different than living. I love to draw parallels between opposite concepts and dig deep to find a bridge, a correlation between them.

Through this writing experience, we will write as we reflect on writing and living.

Together, we shall aim at closing the gap between writing and living, this way we become freer- we allow ourselves to live and write unshackled, unapologetically without having to edit Ink & Essence to please others.

Writing is your Soul’s Language decoding the stories of your Being, Becoming & Belonging…

Thoughts on Writing…

Once the title of this atelier came to me, I knew that I must make it happen. The experience of writing together has a life of its own and now I must honor it.

Writing is always available to us, whether we seek healing, exploration, inquiry or just letting it all out. Writing can also be a practice. Not the kind that has to be practiced regularly. Only when the soul feels called to sit down and share some magic from its vast knowing. Some choose to do it daily. That is perfect as well.

And writing can also be a prayer. Metaphorically, when writing, we bow to the muse. We honor her ability to inspire and offer us new perspectives on  self and life. Some experiment with automatic writing. And this kind of writing has its merit too.

My goal, through this 6 weeks atelier, is to give ourselves permission to let go of perceived ideas about how we should be writing. There are no set rules. Just a willingness to explore the thoughts behind the thoughts, the emotions behind the emotions. To be present in mind, body and soul. Because there is wisdom lodged deep in our bones. There are stories we stored in every cell of our body. And there are ancient tales to be remembered as we connect with our ancestors.

Together, we will enter the vast landscape of words, stories and metaphors. This landscape is alchemical in nature. It transforms. It heals. It turns wounds into wisdom and sorrows into scars. Writing is a shapeshifter. It has magical powers. None who travel the landscape remain the same. It can shift paradigms, bring clarity, form new perspectives and help us become better humans as we embody the metaphors we live by.

If you seek to find your voice, writing can help you unleash it onto the page. The ink has nowhere to go, but flow straight from your heart and soul and strenghten your roots, so you can stand taller and speak your truth with more courage and conviction.

Enter with me on the landscape of weaving words and thoughts, stories and memories-this sacred wordsmithing gathering- a safe space where you can delve into the roots of your being, wielding the pen as an instrument of self-knowing, contemplation and deep acceptance for all that you are.

Join me and let “Ink & Essence” be the catalyst for exploring your being as you soak your pen into the ink glass and flow with words and stories.

By the end of this journey, Ink & Essence has the potential to turn into a practice that you can access anytime you allow living and writing to happen with ease, grace and deep trust.

“We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.”

My Approach to Writing

I don’t know how to work on writing. I just write.

First, I investigate the substance of my soul.
I sit with my wounds and injuries and reject all labels and name calling.

I free myself of imposed social and cultural dogma.
I give myself permission to feel the depths of my emotions.
I enter through poetic crevices of my heart. Everything I encounter is ink in my pen.
I unfold.
I light myself on fire. I burn on the altar of creativity.
I remember who I am.

And then.
I begin to write.

Not to become better. But myself!

The themes we will explore in this writing atelier

Tilling the Soil-

Listening (FEBRUARY 15)

Tilling the Soil ensures that your creative ground is rich with potential. Listening adds layers of richness and depth, as you allow the myriad of life experiences as being, becoming, loss, forgiveness, joy, love, passion, etc.

Understanding the Landscape-

Permission (FEBRUARY 22)

Understanding the Landscape provides the insight and context needed to navigate the creative process, while Permission liberates you to explore and express yourself without restraint.

Seeding the View-

Receptivity (MARCH1)

Seeding the View is an active, creative process, while Receptivity is a passive, absorptive one. Together, they create a balanced cycle of creativity where you plant ideas and then remain open to how they might be shaped, influenced, and expanded by new thoughts and experiences.

Rooted Deeply-

Connectivity (MARCH 8)

Rooted deeply is a life practice that flows organically into your writing. When you are rooted deeply, you are connected to all aspects of yourself. From this place, you can access the parts of you in need of deeper roots to thrive and create interconnectivity with your whole self and other trees, metaphorically speaking.

Branching Beyond-

Imagination ( MARCH 15)

Branching beyond ensures that you are continually growing and evolving. Imagination sustains this growth by providing a constant source of new ideas and possibilities. Together, they ensure that your life and writing remain dynamic and vibrant.

Dripping Ink-

Essence (MARCH 22)

The slow, deliberate process of dripping ink parallels the gradual revelation of one’s essence in both life and writing. As you write, you uncover deeper layers of your thoughts and emotions, allowing your true essence to emerge over time. Similarly, in life, every action and decision you make helps to build an authentic expression of who you are.

It is such a privilege and a pleasure to work with Corina. She is an absolute master of her craft. Corina has a way of seeing deep into the heart of the matter, and deep into the soul of the woman. I felt I knew myself better after Corina’s unique mentoring and care than I did after decades of intensive personal & spiritual development. I’m 62 years old and have spent decades questioning who I am. It’s an age old question that typically doesn’t get answered and we spend more and more time trying to figure out this age old question. By the end of the Ink and Essence Writing Atelier, a 6 week course, I now understand who I am.

Corina has put together the Ink & Essence Writing Atelier in such a manner that will get you focused on yourself and your core essence.

You cannot escape this fact if you participate in all 6 of the Ateliers. You will answer the question of “Who am I?” by the end of the 6 weeks. Now I can enhance the qualities of myself that are beneficial to my wellbeing while also addressing the shadow sides that I’m not happy with. I now understand the work I must do to manifest the changes I’m searching for in my life and within my essence.

I highly recommend this Writing Atelier to anyone seeking answers about themselves. I’m eagerly awaiting her next workshop.
